Woodsong Nature Retreat

Nature and embodied presence is the focus of my work.
Illuminating the relationship between every being and its natural environment inspires the core of my purpose, and I explore it through many forms: articles about the science of nature and health, paintings admiring the intersection of the built and wild environment, and what you'll find through Soma & Silva:
Experiences in forest bathing, multi-day retreats, and nature-based life coaching

These offerings are in their exploratory phase. If you'd like to be a part of the process - sure to be a whole lot of fun & also deeply meaningful - please send a note to nenowhead at gmail
Where the heat rate slows down,
where the lungs breathe in and benefit from the chemistry of the forest's immune system, where the senses enliven, curiosity piques and yet the nervous system relaxes.

Retreat Planning
You recognize your need for a retreat -
your desire to disconnect from busyness and incessant background noise to reconnect to yourself, your joy, your purpose, your deep nature.
Maybe you desire to create a writer's retreat in a cozy cabin, a backpacking retreat to develop your en plein air painting portfolio, or just create enough space to get a bird's eye view on your life to make sure you're making decisions aligned with your true self, but there are so many moving parts and the retreat planning is overwhelming alongside your project planning - enter me.
I distill your desire to get to your core need, create the scaffold of your project planning with you, and design your retreat based on your length of time, location, and budget.

Check out the slides at left for a sample retreat in Shenandoah National Park.
These will be small groups in a nature-based setting, ranging in accommodation style from a backpacking trip to backcountry base camp to an Appalachian Trail hostel like this one at Wood's Hole Hostel in Pearisburg, Virginia.

These retreats will begin with acclimating to the land around us through forest bathing, involve activities like hiking and yoga, and are interwoven with personal and group reflection to deepen the experience for a lasting impact that will leave the retreat with you.

For a guided retreat in good company, keep an eye out as offerings develop, or email nenowhead at gmail to be included on updates.
