"A slice of Heaven not to be missed"
I first visited Wood's Hole when I was thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2019. I returned in '21 when Neville put out a call for hostel help, and I've returned every year since, at least once a year. Sometimes to "chop wood, carry water" and other times to revel in the history of the 1800's chestnut log cabin, tell stories with hikers from around the world, or paint on the porch.
Everyone who steps foot on this property feels it: there is something magical about Wood's Hole.
